PERTEX SHIELD provides lightweight waterproof protection while maintaining high breathability. Designed for intense mountain sports where lightweight and breathability are crucial, Pertex® Shield fabric allows swift movement while ensuring comfort.
Constructed with a 3-layer design, it combines lightweight outer fabric with a waterproof, windproof, and breathable membrane for versatile use. The surface fabric, treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellent), repels rain and snow while maintaining breathability.

Stronger than typical fabrics, it can be machine washed and dried at low temperatures. While detergent specification is not necessary, thorough rinsing is essential. If detergent remains between the fabric and the polyurethane film, it may become more absorbent. To restore water repellency, it is recommended to use a low-temperature dryer or iron with a cloth at a low temperature. This will revive the fine hairs on the surface, restoring water repellency.
